Âke Follin

Âke Follin is a Swedish engineer and diving pionner. He was a member of Västkustens dykarklubb (diving club of western Sweden) and participated in a now legendary Swedish expedition to the Red sea in 1955.

He pretty much built all of the expedition’s equipment. He is still alive and has recently turned 87.

It is him to the right in the picture.

This regulator was made by him in the 1950s. Only circa 20 were made, and possibly this is one of the few surviving. (Staffan von Arbin collection).
